That wild pig

Emma and Julius received a pig from the Thinkstad bunch as a wedding present. I recall discussion that the descendents of that pig were on the farm at their 50th. It was one of the wedding presents that lasted 50 years, sort of.  How about that. Those tough old black and white things. I remember colour well because we had the pure white Yorkshire and Landrace breeds.

In the diary, grandma  says it was as wild as a moose.

In the diary it refers to a chair that they got from John Dutton. I assume that it was not the big rocker, but I recall a story that it came form Mayer place when they were about to leave as ``payment``for a load of oats, that a a bookcase that stood at the top of the stairs in the white house.
